What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® is a clear aligner teeth straightening system that has been helping patients find straighter smiles since the 1990s. This revolutionary system utilises a patented SmartTrack material and ClinCheck 3D treatment plan to help patients envision the smile they’ve been dreaming about.

How does Invisalign® work?

First, you will visit us here at Brixton Smiles for a consultation. If you decide you wish to move ahead with Invisalign®, then we will take an impression of your mouth, from which we can develop a bespoke treatment plan.

Your clear aligner trays will be made just for you by highly skilled technicians and once ready, you’ll return to us here at the practice to collect them. From there, you will wear your unique aligner trays day and night for two weeks or so, before swapping them out for a new set.

How long does the treatment take?

Invisalign® usually takes between nine and 18 months to produce the best results. Exact treatment periods vary from patient to patient and depend on the position of the teeth at the start of the treatment.

Do I have to wear the aligners every day?

For best results, your Invisalign® clear aligners should be worn day and night, although you can take them off to eat and drink.
